Belfast and all of Ireland and the U.K have had an unprecedented heatwave and it has been joyous. The first proper Summer I can remember in a long time that has inspired daytrips and picnics and eating outdoors and not being able to sleep at night for the heat. Here is one such day, before I went on holiday (and yes, the weather has lasted this long!) when I went strolling along the beach at Helen's Bay.
here and here) and still love it's easy fit for a sun dress. I just fell for this retro aviation print and as we tend to be dreaming of escapes and holidays during summertime, it seemed fitting. The handbag is a vintage favourite I was gifted last year and use a lot. As for my fringe, I was still learning how to cope with it here. More days like this please. As we approach the end of July, that midsummer panic that these days are running through our hands like sand sets in. I have not made full use of the weather this past week unlike my devoted fellow Irishman who has scorched themselves and barbequed every night in honour of this gift of a heatwave. I salute you! Next week I want to tick off one of my 'summer goals', a habit of making silly wee lists I have kept since school holiday days.
How has everyone's summer been? I am looking forward to catching up with all your posts.
