This weekend I have been resting, not tidying, going to the theatre, enjoying a few gins and worrying about the week ahead so I decided to stop doing all of the above and post these photos before I forget. This is one of my favourite old streets in Belfast. I am in this part of the city a lot and never tire of the lovely brick! I don't know why I've never taken photos here before so when we were walking through, and I had my camera, on a quiet day I decided to go for it! This is a very laidback look but I like the ease and comfort of it, especially at the weekend.
I'm not actually sure if I've worn trousers on the blog before...I don't think I suit them a lot of the time. I struggle with getting a good fit and style I am not self conscious about and I'm sure many women will know exactly what I mean - dresses can be so much easier. I branched out and tried these Uniqlo trousers though as they weren't too expensive and I really like the fit so this has been my cosy and comfy Sunday outfit the past few weeks while the wind howls. Paired with a silky pyjama style zara shirt with little aviation symbols reminiscent of the 20s/30s, my super comfy (and good in the rain) tan boots, my fits-everything-into-it Vero Moda handbag and a big cosy Marks and Spencer jumper I've been throwing on me all Winter to keep me warm in the house!
I like to kid myself that this looks like a shot from a very 80s, U2 music video and I'm looking into a wind machine. In reality, I've just given up on my hair and the windy weather! Never as glamorous as the 80s music videos made it look alas.
Have a good week everyone and eat lots of pancakes on Tuesday.

i'm definitely the same with pants, i don't think i even really owned or wore a pair for the longest time until about a year ago when i started wearing capris in a 50s styled way. i just find skirts and dresses so much more flattering and easy to wear and feel comfortable in so i mostly stick with them. it's so hard to find pants that are the right fit for my legs but that also fit around the waist because usually they're too loose in one place or the other. oh well!

Amazing street! You should not feel self conscious about wearing pants, you've got some beautiful legs lady! But I know exactly what you mean by dresses being much easier, I tend to feel more "dressed up" even if I'm wearing a very comfortable dress. Hope you have a great week!
