The style of our room was Country something or other..I think they have other rooms in a style called 'Bordello'. All I know is that this meant lots of heavy wools and tweed which were actually beautiful. Look how lovely the curtains and fabric panels in the wardrobe in this photograph are! Also the big arm chair and wool cushions on the bed made the room feel cosy.
My favourite part about this blouse is that the scarf tie buttons off so I can wear the blouse plain or put another scarf with it. The scarf is actually in two pieces that button underneath the collar..I just love details like that!

Yes, the Topshop Ambush boots! I'm wearing them almost every day at the minute and they were thrown on here for comfort on a Saturday morning!
I know this blouse will go with a whole lot of things but what about the skirt..should I try different coloured tights? Plainer tops, more blouses? I can't wait to try styling it a different way but anyway, here it is in its imperfection. Hope you enjoyed a few more photos of Malmaison too, these were actually my favourite pictures we took in the hotel :)

I think some lovely wine tights would look amazing. I always shy away from coloured tights myself but I've resolved to give them a whirl at least once before Christmas :)

ooh i was thinking it might be a good colour with the navy too, i think i pluck up the nerve to wear muted coloured tights or grey if I am feeling wild once every 6 weeks or so now!

I always wear navy and black together, I think they go really well and that's just a myth! You look lovely! x
ReplyDeleteYou look so pretty in this outfit! I've been looking for a blouse like this for ages, but most of them are chiffon which isn't what I want! It's charming.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm, tights colour- I'd say a sort of magenta might be nice depending on what you wear with them on the top half.
You look wonderful in your gorgeous attire.
ReplyDeleteI do agree with Arlene about the wine tight another day.
You are always beautiful, my dear friend

I do love that blouse!
ReplyDeleteI love that blouse on you and the setting for your pictures is just wonderful. Malmaison should use them.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of grey tights, they go with anything but look rather quirky. x
Hi there, we think you look fabulous in our shirt and skirt combination. They really go so well together! We suggest wearing wine/burgundy tights as Arlene has suggested. We teamed it with some flat brogues. Glad you like Miss Patina xx
ReplyDeleteI can't think of any more perfect place to wear that outfit! x
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous! This will sound very odd but you remind me of Spencer form Pretty Little Liars, same gorgeous bone structure! I would love to see some rich browns and plums with this outfit but I love the simplicity of it here too...
ReplyDeleteMaria xxx
Thanks Maria, total compliment but I must be really only putting up my good photos if that is so. I have no bone structure to speak of, a round face as people always tell me!
ReplyDeleteDefinitley loving the wine/plum ideas from everyone! xox
What a gorgeous girl, love your blouse. I love any blouse or shirt that has a scarf tie.

I also love the picture of you in the mirror! Room walls are incredibly beautiful .... I would argue using dark socks with shoes, but "fine", this is only an option, your outfit is great as is.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos! I'm a huge fan of black and blue, so am finding this a perfect combination. And the boots are really cool.
ReplyDeletei love the blouse with the tie! Definitely try merlot colored stockings.
ReplyDeleteOh this skirt is lovely, I especially love the paper bag waist detailing!
